This mural was created in Lismore, NSW, shortly after the 2022 floods. The fluid lines depict a mother and child, submerged in water. She holds her baby above the waves as she looks to the horizon. Lismore, the “Heart of the Northern Rivers”, is home to a compassionate local community who have decorated the city with tapestries and artworks of love hearts.
Water Birth can be found at Back Alley Gallery, at the intersection of Eggins Lane and Larkin Lane.
