Ella Senbruns: Intuition Whispers Again
Through her signature style of surreal mark making, artist Ella Senbruns presents an exhibition of new work across oil painting, graphite drawing and mixed media.

“Intuition Whispers Again” alludes to the quiet and profound revelations that rise up within us throughout life. Sometimes we gratefully acknowledge these, and sometimes we fearfully force them out of our consciousness. Senbruns negotiates with feeling through her work - both dreadful and uplifting.
Abstracted and stylised female figures return as a key motif within Senbruns’ practice, here blurring into their environments to create fantastical and sensual landscapes. The disembodied essence of a woman is blown away with the wind, or tangled within snaking stems of grass. What may be recognisable is the outline of a delicate face, the curve of a breast, or softly rounded limbs.
